Three Time A.F.L. All-Star

A third round pick by the New York Giants in 1961 out of the University of Washington, Davidson bounced around the N.F.L., playing with the Packers and Redskins, before landing with the Oakland Raiders of the A.F.L. in 1964. He played for the Raiders through 1971, earning three All-Star selections, and playing for Oakland in Super Bowl I. In 1974, he closed his professional football career with the Portland Storm of the W.F.L. Davidson turned to acting during the later part of his football career, appearing in films such as M*A*S*H, Behind the Green Door and Conan the Barbarian. Davidson died at age 72 from prostate cancer.
