Davis was selected in the second round of the 1977 NFL draft after playing for Colorado. He played ten seasons with the Raiders, winning two Super Bowls. He finished his career with the San Diego Chargers in 1987. His interception of Brian Sipe in the 1981 A.F.C. Championship Game sent the Raiders on their way to the Super Bowl XV championship.
