Four-time All-Star

Lopes came to the majors and spent his first ten seasons as the second baseman for the Los Angeles Dodgers (1972-'81), before moving on to play with the Oakland Athletics (1982-'84), Chicago Cubs (1984-'86) and Houston Astros (1986-'87). Lopes was a four time All-Star (1978-'81), led the National league in stolen bases twice (1976-'77) and won the Gold Glove in 1978. He was a member of the Dodgers' World Series championship team in 1981. He finished his career with a .263 batting average at 557 stolen bases. Lopes managed the Milwaukee Brewers from 2000-2002 and was a coach on the Philadelphia Phillies World Series championship team in 2008.
