Five Time Wimbledon Champion
Borg won Wimbledon five consecutive years (1976-'80) and won the French Open six times (1974, '75, '78-'81). He never won the U.S. Open, losing in the finals four times. Borg turned pro at the age of 14 and played Davis Cup for Sweden at 15. His titanic five-set victory over John McEnroe in the 1980 Wimbledon final is considered one of the classic tennis matches of all time. The following year, McEnroe ended Borg's five year run by turning the tables at the Wimbledon final. Borg retired in 1983 at the age of 26. he finished his career with a record of 597-127 and 100 tour titles.
