Broos played for RSC Anderlecht from 1970-'83 as a defender, helping them win four European Cup titles. He later played for Club Brugge from 1983-'88. He gained 24 caps for Belgium from 1974-'86, including the country's fourth place finish in the 1986 FIFA World Cup.
