Four-time Pro Bowl Selection
After playing collegiately at Michigan, Hicks, a safety, was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the sixth round of the 1978 NFL Draft. He played the 1978 with the Toronto Argonauts, before being signed by the San Francisco 49ers in 1979. He played seven seasons with the 49ers, winning two Super Bowls and being selected to the Pro Bowl four straight seasons, 1981-'84. Hicks played one final season with the Indianapolis Colts in 1986. AFter football, he became a chacrater actor, appearing in numbers TV shows and movies such as The Rock and Armageddon.
