Six Time Winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans
Ickx began his Formula One career in 1967 and won his first race in France in 1968. In 1969 he won two races and finished second overall in the driver's standings. Also in 1969 he won the first of his six 24 Hours of Le Mans races, also winning in 1975-'77, '81 & '82. Ickx finished second in Formula One again in 1970. he raced Formula One until 1979, winning a total of eight races. Ickx won the Paris-Dakar Rally in 1983.
