1977 World Cup Overall Champion
The slalom bronze medalist at the 1974 World Championships; In 1975, Morerod won the World Cup discipline titles in both slalom and giant slalom. She competed at the 1976 Olympics, finishing fourth in the giant slalom and failing to complete the slalom. She was World Cup giant slalom champion again in 1976 and won both the slalom and giant slalom to go with her overall crystal globe in 1977. She won a giant slalom silver medal at the 1978 World Championships. Morerod won 24 World Cup races between 1975 and 1978, but a car accident following the 1978 season diminished her abilities and she retired in 1982.
