Anne Smith was one of the premier doubles players in the world. She captured 34 doubles titles, including 10 Grand Slam championships. Smith won the following Grand Slam titles: the 1980 Wimbledon Doubles and 1982 Mixed Doubles; the 1981 U.S. Open Doubles and the 1981 and 1982 Mixed Doubles; the 1980 and 1982 French Open Doubles and 1980 and 1984 Mixed Doubles (with Dick Stockton); and the 1981 Australian Open Doubles.
