Aikens played eight seasons in the majors, with the California Angels (1977, '79), Kansas City Royals ('80-'83) and Toronto Blue Jays ('84-'85). He started for the Royals team that won the American League pennant in 1980. For his career he totaled 110 home runs with 415 RBI and a .271 batting average. Aikens served fourteen years in federal prison for drug trafficking.
