A fly-half, Bennett earned 29 caps for Wales between 1968 and '78. He also participated on the British Lions, earning 8 caps between 1974 and '77. He was inducted into the International Rugby Hall of Fame in 2005 and the Welsh Sports Hall of Fame in 2007.
