Five-Time All-Star
Bowa played sixteen seasons in the majors with the Philadelphia Phillies. Chicago Cubs and New York Mets. With the Phillies from 1970-'81, he played in five All-Star Games (1974-'76, '78 & '79), won two Gold Gloves (1972, '78) and helped the Phillies win their first World Series in 1980. Following his playing career, Bowa managed the San Diego Padres and the Phillies, winning the National League Manager of the Year Award in 2001 with Philadelphia.
