Candelaria pitched 19 seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates (1975-'85, '93), California Angels ('85-'87), New York Mets ('87), New York Yankees ('88-'89), Montreal Expos ('89), Minnesota Twins ('90), Toronto Blue Jays ('90) and Los Angeles Dodgers ('91-'92). He posted a career record of 177-122, and led the league in E.R.A. with 2.34 in 1977, when he went 20-5. He pitched a no-hitter on August 9, 1976 against the Dodgers and was the 1986 American League Comback Player of the Year.
