Ciccarelli played 19 seasons in the N.H.L. but never won the Stanley Cup. He played with the Minnesota North Stars, Washington Capitals, Detroit Red Wings, Tampa Bay Lightning and Florida Panthers. He finished his career with 602 goals and 591 assists. His best seasons was 1981-'82 when he scored 55 goals and 51 assists. Ciccarelli was an N.H.L. All-Star in 1982, '83, '89 and '97, and played in the World Championships for Canada in 1982 and '87, helping the Canadians win a bronze medal in 1982. In 1987, Ciccarelli pled guilty to indecent exposure and was granted probation. During a game in 1988, Ciccarelli attacked Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Luke Richardson with his stick. As a result, Ciccarelli was convicted of assaukt and sentenced to one day in jail. In 2010, Ciccarelli was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
