Four-time NBA All-Star

Collins was a selected to the 1972 U.S. Olympic Team where earned a silver medal following the controversial loss by the Americans to the Soviet Union in the final. Collins and his teammates refused to accept the silver medals. In 1973, he was a consensus All-American for Illinois State and was the first overall pick in the NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. He played for the team for his entire eight season career. Collins was a four-time (1976-'79) All-Star. Injuries led to an early retirement and in 1986 Collins began a coaching career with the Chicago Bulls. He has also coached the Detriot Pistons, Washington Wizards and currently the Philadelphia 76ers.
