Five Time All-Star
Cooper played seventeen seasons in the majors, with the Boston Red Sox (1971-'76) and Milwaukee Brewers (1977-'87). He played in five All-Star Games (1979, '80, '82, '83 and '85), won two Gold Glove Awards (1979 & '80) and three Silver Slugger Awards (1980-'82). Cooper led the American League in RBI in 1980 and '83 and finished second in the M.V.P. voting in 1980. He managed the Houston Astros from 2007 to 2009.
