Dando was the leading British gymnast at the 1980 Olympics, she placed 27th in the all-around finals. She had finished 16th in the all-around at the 1979 World Championships in Fort Worth, Texas. She later became a stunt coordiantor and appeared in the James Bond film "Moonraker."
