1980 Olympic Silver Medalist, 400 Meter Individual Medley

Making her Olympic debut at age 13 in Montreal, she finsihed fifth in her heat of the 200 meter backstroke. Davies captured two bronze medals at the 1977 European Championships, in the 400 metere individual medley and the 4x100 meter freestyle relay. She won both individual medleys at the 1978 Commonwealth Games. At the 1980 Olympics, she won a silver medal in the 400 meter individual medley, did not advance out of her heat in the 400 meter freestyle and finished fourth as part of the 4x100 meter freestyle relay. Davies won two relay medals at the 1990 Commonwealth Games and competed in her third and final Olympics in 1992, finishing 21st in both individual medley events.
