1976 Sporting News College Football Player of the Year
A quarterback at Nebraska, Ferragamo was an All-American and a fourth round draft choice of the Los Angeles Rams in the 1977 NFL draft. Ferragamo played for the Rams from 1977-'80. Ferragamo led the Rams into Super Bowl XIV, a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Following a contract dispute with the Rams, Ferragamo signed with the Montreal Alouettes of the CFL, where he played one poor season in 1981. He returned to the NFL and played for the Rams (1982-'84), Buffalo Bills ('85) and Green Bay Packers ('86-'87).
