Forsch won 168 games in sixteen seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals (1974-'88) and Houston Astros ('88-'89). He was 20-7 in 1977 and also pitched a no-hitter that year. Career record of 168-136 with a 3.76 E.R.A. He is third all-time among Cardinal pitchers with 163 wins. FOrsch and his brother Ken are the only major league pitchers to both record no-hitters. Forsch died suddenly of a thoracic aortic aneurysm, a week after throwing out the ceremonial first pitch in Game 7 of the World Series.
