In 14 seasons with the New York Islanders (1974-'86) and Buffalo Sabres (1986-'88), Gillies scored 319 goals and helped the Islanders with four consecutive Stanley Cups. He was a two-time All-Star and was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2002.
