Grevey was a collegiate All-American at the University of Kentucky before being drafted in the first round by the Bullets in 1975. In 1977-78, Grevey averaged 15.5 points during the regular season and 15.5 in the playoffs as the Bullets beat Seattle for the NBA title. Grevey played five more seasons with the Bullets, who were runners-up to Seattle in 1979, and enjoyed a career-best season in 1980-'81 when he averaged 17.2 points. Grevey finished his career with the Milwaukee Bucks. In 10 seasons he scored 7364 points for an average of 11.0 ppg.
