1978 Pro Bowl Selection
Unrecruited out of high school, Henderson plaed for NAIA school Langston University. The Dallas Cowboys drafted the linebacker with the 18th overall pick of the 1975 draft. His flamboyant style earned him the nickname "Hollywood" and his best season was 1978 when he was selected to the Pro Bowl. His drug use ended his 1979 season early as Cowboys coach Tom Landry deactivated him. He played parts of the 1980 season for the Houston Oilers and San Francisco 49ers. In 1983 he was arrested for smoking cocaine with two teenage girls. He was sentenced to five years in prison and claims to have been clean and sober since. Henderson won $28 million in Lotto Texas in 2000 and established a charity.
