1972 Olympic 500 Meter Champion
Henning won the 500 meters at the 1972 Sapporo Olympics when she was only 16. She also won a bronze at 1000 meters. She was second in the 1972 I.S.U. Sprint Championships, setting world records in both 500 meter races. Henning set four world records in an international career that lasted only two seasons. She retired in 1972.
