Hurst was a member of England's legendary 1966 World Cup champions, becoming the only player in history to score three goals in the final, England's 4-2 win over Germany. He played 411 matches for West Ham United between 1959 and 1972, and continued his professional career with seven other clubs through 1979, including the Seattle Sounders of the NASL in 1976.
