Matthews played for Hawthorn from 1969 to '85, scoring 915 goals in 332 games. In 1983 he won the V.F.L.'s first ever M.V.P. award. He was an All-Australian selection in 1972 and the V.F.L.'s leading goalkicker in 1975. He was inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame in 1996.SUPERSTARS RECORD
