Morton, a quarterback, was the fifth overall selection in the 1965 N.Fl. draft out of California by the Dallas Cowboys. Morton stayed with the Cowboys through 1974, guiding the team in Super Bowl V. After playing for hte New York Giants from 1974-'76, Morton landed with the Denver Broncos in 1977 and led them to Super Bowl XII, winning the Comeback Player of the Year. He retired after the 1982 season and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1992.
