Born deaf, Kitty O'Neil won an A.A.U. National diving championship and became one of the best stunt women in Hollywood. Her credits include the stunts of Foes and The Blues Brothers. In 1977, she powered a rocket dragster to the fastest quarter mile in history, reaching a average speed of 396 mph. Her life became the subject of the 1979 TV-movie "Silent Victory" starring Stockard Channing.
