1982 World Cup of Golf Champion
Pinero won nine titles on the European PGA Tour, including the 1977 British PGA Championship. He played for Europe in the Ryder Cup twice, including the 1981 victorious European squad. His best finish in a major championship was sixth at the 1981 British Open. He won the team title at the World Cup of Golf for Spain in 1976 and '82, and collected the individual title in 1982 as well.
