Member of the Dutch Baseball Hall of Fame
Born in St. Maarten, Richardson has a tryout with the Chicago White Sox in 1957, but never played with the organization. Richardson played in the Dutch league for 22 years, earning M.V.P. honors six times (1963, '66, '68, '69, '72 and '74). He represented the Netherlands 60 times, winning the M.V.P. award at the 1965 and 1973 European championships. He was an all-star selection at the 1970 Amateur World Series.
