1973 American League All-Star
A fine fielding firstbaseman in the majors from 1968 to '82 with the Angels, Rangers, White Sox, Yankees and A's. Spencer was an All-Star in 1973 with the Rangers. He won the American League Gold Glove in 1970 and '77. A member of a World Championship team with the Yankees in 1978, Spencer died of a heart attack at age 55.
