Ten Time Grand Slam Doubles Champion

Betty Stove is one of the greatest female players to come out of the Netherlands,winning ten Grand Slam doubles titles in her career. In 1972 she competed in three Grand Slam events, winning the doubles title at all three -- the French Open and Wimbledon with Billie Jean King, and the US Open with Francoise Durr. In 1977, Betty reached five of six possible finals at Wimbledon and the US Open (singles, doubles and mixed), including the Wimbledon singles final. That year she reached a career-high singles ranking of 5 in the world.
