Five Time European Champion
Tredgett was a doubles specialist. In 1974, he won the bronze medal in men's and mixed doubles at the European Championships, he won gold in men's doubles and bronze in mixed doubles at the 1976 European Championships. At the first World Championships in 1977, he won bronze medals in both doubles events. He captured both doubles crowns as the 1978 European Championships; mixed gold and men's bronze at the 1980 European Championships and a mixed bronze at the 1980 World Championships. Tredgett took home two silver medals at the 1982 European Championships and men's silver and mixed bronze at the 1983 World Championships. In 1984, he won the men's gold and mixed bronze at the European Championships.
