Trottier was the New York Islanders' second choice in the 1974 NHL draft, set an NHL rookie record with 95 points and won the Calder Trophy as the NHL's top rookie in 1976. He won the Art Ross and Hart Trophies in 1979, the Conn Smythe Trophy in 1980, and the King Clancy Trophy in 1989. Trottier scored at least 103 points in a season six times and scored a career high 50 goals during the 1981-82 campaign as an Islander. He was on four Stanley Cup championship teams with the Islanders (1980-'83) and two more with the Pittsburgh Penguins (1992-'93). Trottier was an eight-time (1976, '78, '80, '82, '83, '85, '86 & '92) all-star. In 1997 Bryan Trottier was inducted into Hockey's Hall of Fame.
