A wide receiver, Casey was the ninth overall pick in the 1961 draft out of Bowling Green (where he also ran the hurdles) by the San Francisco 49ers. He played six seasons with the 49ers, then two more for the Los Angeles Rams, earning Pro Bowl honors in his final season. Casey transitioned into a career in acting, making such films as "Brian's Song", "Never Say Never Again", "Revenge of the Nerds" and "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure."
