1973 World's Number One Lady Surfer

A professional surfer, Laura's father was Lord Blears who was a professional wrestler in the 1950's and for many years oversaw the tug-of-war in the Superteams competition. Ching won the 1972 Makaha Invitational and became the first woman to compete in the Smirnoff men's championship in 1973. Ching was the World's number one lady surfer in 1973.
