Three Time All-Star

In 16 seasons with the A's, Pirates, Astros, Dodgers and Giants, Garner was a member of the All-Star team in 1976, '80 and '81. His 12-for-24, .500 batting average in the 1979 World Series gives Garner the record for highest career batting average. Following his reitrement, he managed the Milwaukee Brewers, Detroit Tigers and Houston Astros.
