1972 Triple Olympic Medalist
Keulen-Deelstra a 31 year old mother of three when she first reached international success, winning the 1970 World Allround Championships and finishing third in the World Sprint Champioinships. At the 1972 Olympics in Sapporo, she captured the silver medal at 1000 meters and bronze medals in the 1500 and 3000 meters. Keulen captured the World Allround Championships in 1972, '73 and '74 and was the runner-up at the World Sprint Championships in 1973 and '74.
