Three-time Pro Bowl Selection
Morris was a running back taken by the Miami Dolphins in the third round of the 1969 NFL Draft out of West Texas State. He played for the Dolphins for seven seasons, winning two Super Bowls, and finished his career with the San Diego Chargers in 1976. Morris was selected to the Pro Bowl in 1971 as a kick returner, helping the Dolphins win the AFC Championship. He was a Pro Bowl selection again in 1972 and 1973, rushing for 1,000 yards and leading the NFL with 12 rushing touchdowns. Following his playing career, Morris was convicted of drug trafficking charges in 1982 and spent three and a half years in prison following a plea of no contest after a retrial was awarded.
