1975 Pro Bowl Selection
Pastorini was the third overall pick in 1971 N.F.L. draft by the Houston Oilers out of Santa Clara University. He was a 1975 Pro Bowl selection and played for the Oilers through 1979, before being traded to the Oakland Raiders for Ken Stabler. Pastorini broke his leg in the fifth game of the 1980 season, as Jim Plunkett took over and led the Raiders to Super Bowl XV victory. Pastorini played in 1981 for the Rams and 1982 & '83 for the Eagles. Following his football career, Pastorini drove top fuel drag racers in the N.H.R.A.
