Member of the English National Team and British Lions

Ripley earned 24 caps for England between 1970 and 1974 and was a member of the British Lions team that toured South Africa in 1974. Domestically, he was a member of Roslyn Park. Ripley competed in competitions on rowing machines, those available at most local gyms, and set a world record for the 50-54 age group in 1998. He passed away at age 62 following a five year battle with prostate cancer.
