Robinson played defense for the Montreal Canadiens from 1972-'89 and the Los Angeles Kings from 1989-'92. Robinson won the Norris Trophy as the N.H.L.'s outstanding defenseman in 1977 and 1980 and was the 1978 Conn Smyth Trophy Winner as the most valuable player in the playoffs. Robinson was a ten-time All-Star and won six Stanley Cup trophies with the Canadiens. He played for Canada in the Canada Cup three times (1976, '81 and '84) and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1995. He scored 958 points in his career, plus another 144 in the playoffs. Robinson holds the N.H.L. career record for plus/minus rating with a +730.
