Two-time N.B.A. All-Star
As a rookie, Smith helped lead the Warriors to the N.B.A. Championship in 1975. In nine seasons with the Warriors, Clippers and SuperSonics, he was twice and all-star before an achilles injury cut short his career. Smith died at age 50 of multiple myeloma cancer.
