Three Time CFL All-Star
Uteck played seven seasons in the Canadian Football League with the Toronto Argonauts (1974-'76), British Columbia Lions ('77), Montreal Alouettes ('78-'80) and Ottawa Rough Riders ('80). The defensive back was an All-Star in each of his first three seasons. Following his playing career, Uteck was a football coach and politician. In 1997 he was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's Disease. He passed away in 2002.
