Two-Time All-Star
The centerfielder for the Royals was an All-Star in 1982 and '83. He led the lead in stolen bases with 83 in 1979 and hits (230) and runs scored (133) in 1980 when he set a major league record with 705 at bats. His .332 average led the American League in 1982, and he also led the league in triples four times. In 19 seasons with the Royals, Oakland Athletics and Chicago Cubs, Wilson stole 668 bases and totaled 2,207 hits with a .285 average. He won the Gold Glove award in 1980 and the Silver Slugger in 1980 & '82.
