Two Time Top Scorer in English First Division

Macdonald played full back and center forward in the English First Division for Fulham (1968-'69), Luton Town (1969-'71), Newcastle United (1971-'76) and Arsenal (1976-'79). He led the First Division in scoring with Newcastle United in 1974-'75 and with Arsenal in 1976-'77. Macdonald played for England 14 times between 1972 and '76, scoring five goals in a 5-0 win over Cyprus in April 1975.
