1976 National League All-Star
McBride won the Natiuonal League Rookie of the Year Award in 1974 while a member of the St. Louis Cardinals. He was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies in 1977 and stayed with the team until the end of 1981, helping them win their first World Series in 1980. McBride played his final three seasons with the Cleveland Indians. For his career, he totalled 1,153 hits, 183 stolen bases and a .299 batting average. In 1977, he batted .316 with 15 homers and 36 stolen bases.
